A field trip in the field! The best way to learn about the environment is to experience it first hand. Bring your students to New Jersey's most amazing classrooms -- the Pinelands OR the Wetlands! Meet an Academy instructor in the wild for a unique outdoor experience.
Students will get an introduction to the marsh ecosystem and then they jump right in! They will wade in the creek beds to collect fish, sink in the mud to chase crabs, and get very wet and muddy exploring a world they have never known. This is an experience that students will never forget...and they will learn great things too.

Students will hike through one of the country's most unique habitats, the New Jersey Pinelands. Watching native birds like egrets and bald eagles, wading through pristine waterways in search of fish, and hunting for reptiles and amphibians of all kinds, are just a few of the activities waiting for you. Students will have the time of their lives, and just may learn to appreciate the world they live in a bit more in the process. |
